Greetings from Rotary Journo Award Committee

This is to inform you that Rotary International District 3292 is organizing the Rotary Journo Award 2026 ceremony on 26 June 2026 (Asar 12, 2083 BS, Friday) in Kathmandu. The Rotary Journo Award is an annual initiative dedicated to recognizing journalists, writers, communicators, bloggers, and audio-visual media professionals who have demonstrated excellence in socially responsible, ethical, and impactful journalism contributing positively to communities and society.

Purpose of the Award
The award aims to:

• Promote positive and constructive communication on humanitarian and community issues;
• Highlight inspiring stories of individuals and organizations creating meaningful social impact;
• Encourage fair, ethical, and development-oriented journalism; and
• Strengthen Rotary’s partnership and fraternity with journalists, communicators, writers, and media institutions.

We believe this initiative also contributes to enhancing the public image of Rotary Clubs while fostering stronger relationships between Rotarians and media professionals within local communities.

Request for Club Nominations

Each Rotary Club is encouraged to nominate at least one deserving media professional from its geographic area of service. Active participation of Rotary Clubs in this initiative will also be acknowledged by the District Award Committee.

Award Categories / Areas of Focus
Awards will be presented for impactful journalism in the following seven Areas of Focus:

1. Basic Education, Literacy & Digital Literacy/Digitalization
2. WASH: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
3. Disease Prevention and Treatment
4. Maternal and Child Health
5. Environment, Climate Change & Resilience
6. Local Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution
7. Community and Economic Development

Award Recognition

Each award recipient will receive:

• A cash prize of NPR 51,000/-, and
• A Certificate of Appreciation from Rotary International District 3292.

Submission Requirements

Rotary Clubs are requested to submit the following for each nominee:

• Name of the nominee;
• Brief CV/Profile;
• Recent photograph;
• Mention of the relevant Area of Focus (from the seven categories above); and
• Three links to published articles, reports, or audio-visual works of the nominee related to the selected category (clubs may coordinate with nominees to obtain complete details).

Submitted works may include contributions published or broadcast through print, television, radio, online, or digital media platforms.

Submission Deadline: Please submit nominations no later than 5:00 PM, Thursday, 11 June 2026 (Jestha 28, 2083 BS). Submissions will be accepted only if sent via this website. In case for individual who wanted to self-nominate (i.e; without Rotary club’s recommendation) they can also send their submission electronically to the email addresses or via WhatsApp given below.
